Growing up on the Mexican border, we have a heartfelt appreciation for so many of the culture's foods, customs, and traditions. One of our family's very favorites is the Traditional Mexican Wedding Cookie. Mouth-wateringly tender, bursting with flavor, and absolutely irresistible, these cookies are staples at every gathering and special occasion throughout Mexico and all along the Tex-Mex border.
When it came to Mexican Wedding Cookies, the gold standard near our home in the Rio Grande Valley was always Romero's Bakery. After they closed and we moved to central Texas we were never able to find a Mexican Wedding Cookie that sings with quite the same texture and flavor. After years of searching we'd almost resigned ourselves to forever being just a little bit disappointed in every other Mexican Wedding Cookie we tried. Then we discovered that daughter Liddy Romero has resurrected her family's traditional recipes and is making the delicious Mexican Wedding Cookies we fell in love with growing up. We are so thrilled to be able to partner with her to share them with you.

Cookie Varities:
- Luna - Traditional, authentic Mexican Wedding Cookie, crunchy shortbread with delicious pecan bits covered in powdered sugar.
- Valentina - Polvorones cookies; a bit of a crunch, and with toasted pecans. Bite-sized, heart-shaped Mexican cookies, sweet and buttery short-bread crumble, covered with cinnamon and sugar
- Stella - These star-shaped wonders are our very favorites. Light, sweet, and buttery short-bread crumble that almost just dissolves in your mouth sprinkled with just the right amount of cinnamon and sugar. Oh, and they're also nut-free.

My father's Pan de Polvo was legendary, a staple at weddings, quinceañeras, anniversaries, and countless other gatherings. 'Are those Romero's Pan de Polvo?' was a question that filled the air at gatherings.
Today, I'm bringing back his cookie so the whole of the U.S. can enjoy! I'm not just selling Mexican Wedding Cookies, I am sharing our unique Mexican-American heritage through sweet cookie traditions and celebrations. With a blend of intuition, a daring spirit, a drive to enjoy every day I'm given, and deep respect for my heritage, I'm proud to reintroduce my father’s famed cookies.
