An Easter Brunch You'll Always Remember

An Easter Brunch You'll Always Remember

Breakfast has always been special holiday meals for my family. Growing up, my daddy loved to get in the kitchen and cook a huge breakfast for our family on slow mornings. My husband, Benny, also especially loves breakfast, and I guess those two wonderful men passed that love on to all of us. On special occasions we make it even better by preparing a delicious brunch.

I like to plan ahead to keep our Easter Sunday feeling peaceful and spacious. I'll put together a quiche or egg casserole a day or two early so it's ready to bake fresh that morning. I love serving it alongside southern grits, seasonal fruit, and biscuits and ham topped with a pepper jelly.

The highlight, of course, is always our cinnamon walnut coffee cake. I've taken to crowning with an assortment of bright berries for the occasion. Fun plates or cheerful napkins help make for a cheerful, festive table. Last comes a strong pot of our favorite coffee and rich hot chocolate for my grandkids.

However you celebrate Easter, I wish you the happiest and sweetest day as you gather with loved ones and rejoice in the resurrection of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Love from our family to yours,
Sherri Cherry
