These delicate, festive Cinnamon Sugar Churro Cookies make any gathering a fiesta and make the perfect gift. We cannot keep our hands off these light, airy, beatufiul, and addictive cookies!
Growing up on the Mexican border, we have a heartfelt appreciation for so many of the culture's foods and flavors. One treat we can never get enough of is the crisp, fresh, cinnamon-sugar-covered Churro, which is why we were so excited when we came across these delicious Churro Cookies (also known as buñuelos de viento).
Light as air and crisp as a fall morning, these cookies are traditionally served during the Christmas and holiday season in Mexico and other Hispanic countries. Unlike traditional Mexican buñuelos (which are rolled out flat like large tortillas), buñuelos de viento are shaped like delicate snowflakes, flowers, or stars using a rosette mold (or buñuelera). They're the perfect pairing with a warm, comforting drink like coffee or Mexican hot chocolate.
A stack of six Churro Cookies are tucked in a black gift box topped with a bow and our sweet burro tag.
